Hell the first boss in Sidi actually requires you to drop the pet and staff it down with your bot helping(it rarely hits anyone, it just runs around like a maniac). I'm not trying to say there isn't anything a necro can't do.cause anything that will hit our pet hard enough to kill it in one or two hits is probably a bad idea to try, not to mention anything immune to magic. There are even necros who duo farm Chimera with their bot/necro setup, I don't have the patience. The epic mobs in Barfog are laughable, got Moran the Mighty in Dartmoor down to 10% before my wife got home and laid on the horn for me to go down and help her.woulda won damn it. I've done Darkspire, first two bosses in Sidi and cleared the trash on the first and second floors. My necro is ML1 RR2L5 and my cleric is ML1 and RR2L6.most encounters are laughable even with such low RRs and MLs.
You'll spend most of your time sucking up pets but if you have no power font bot then it's a good alternative. Cabalists debuff nuking is horribly power inefficient. If it's you and a font bot in Albion then I would say fire wizard because nothing beats it for dpp or sustained dps. Grinding is all about damage per second and damage per unit power. Pre-power fonts, we just made our ownĮDIT: Oops. We had space for four potential powerlevelees grouped with the animists.
The most ingenious of which was having 4 animists at the insta-spawn Fins in Cursed Forest, supplied by two necromancers who were powertapping two suppression BD power battery bots. We did similar bizarre things on the PvP servers. Nothing beats someone herding 40 red/purple mobs, holding aggro and surviving whilst people aoe them down in seconds. If you're organised and have enough people then you can powerlevel like nothing else with a heretic and defensive tank. Within about 4 weeks of Cats coming out our guild had two rejuv heretics and a 50 shield paladin, a couple of bots and a some AoE casters churning alts and artifacts out at a rate of knots in PoC on a nightly basis.
